About us:
• ASPSA was founded in 1982, it was the first association for pharmacy students in Egypt, and then when EPSF (Egyptian Pharmaceutical Students Federation) was founded ASPSA was a pioneer in it.
• Our Association Was Established By Prof. Dr. Abdel Aziz Saleh Professor Of Pharmaceutics .
• Then Prof. Dr. Said Khalil - Professor of Pharmaceutics Supervised Our Association for More Than 15 Years.
• We Are Member In EPSF (Egyptian Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation) For More Than 15 Years.
• We Are Also Member In Ipsf (International Pharmacy Students’ Federation) Since 2004
• ASPSA is now under supervision of prof. dr. Norhan Hussien Fanaky proffesor of microbiology and vice dean of environmental and society affairs.
ASPSA Role in Faculty of Pharmacy - Alexandria University:
• ASPSA community gives pharmacy students the place to make new friends, connecting pharmacy students together, meeting for fun, interacting with each other, exchange ideas, work together and make great teamwork activities only with one common aim: "We Seek a modern and professional pharmaceutical career".
• In our community we start to think more beyond our self-knowledge to explore the new ideas & features in the expansion & development of our profession.
• We want to turn the dream into reality, but often we need more help along the way to make new ideas, improve our work and get support for our activities.
Highlighted ASPSA events:
• Employment Fair :
• This year, ASPSA organized the 4th Employment Fair in 28-29 march 2009 after 3 successful ones.
• It takes place every year in March or April With the presence of more than 2000 students from the different years of study.
ASPSA Soft Skills Training Course (ASSTC):
• A chosen collection of Soft Skills sessions accompanied by workshops for increasing the beneficial value of the course.
• It is held in the 2nd term every year with the partnership of the Science Park.
ASPSA role in national events:
• As we are members in Egyptian Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation ASPSA organized a lot of national Events.

Hosting the 12th EPSF annual Conference in 2007 – 2008:
• We honorly hosted the 12th EPSF annual conference in 2007 – 2008 which gathered pharmaceutical students from all over Egypt.
• It included Sessions of the new discoveries in many pharmaceutical fields.
ASPSA role in international events:
Our membership in International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation gives us the chance to be part of the Students Exchange programme which held every year.
• In 2006, we had 6 places for exchange then they became 10 places in 2007. Then we successfully increased them to 17 places in the past year.
• For this year we had 33 Places for exchange around the world and we hopefully will give the chance to all who deserve it to have a month of scientific benefit and entertainment.
• The program also allows us to host students from all over the world to have training here in Egypt.
World Healthcare Students’ Symposium ( World HSS 2009):
• The WHSS is a multi-professional five day conference bringing together healthcare students from all over the world. It organized by IFMSA (International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations), IPSF (International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation), EPSA (European Pharmaceutical Students’ Association) and EMSA (European Medical Students’ Association).
• The first joint symposium of world healthcare students was organized in Malta from the 7th to 12th November 2005. And the second was organized in n Albufeira, Portugal 26 Nov - 1 Dec 2007.
• This year we have the honor to organize this symposium in Alexandria, Egypt.
ASPSA role in public health:
As the role of ASPSA in scientific professional and educational development events also ASPSA have a role in spreading the meaning of public health in the faculty and society. The public health committee in ASPSA founded in 2008-2009 to be up-to-date with the international events and diseases the concern our society and working together to prevent its spreading by the meaning of awareness.
The first activity of public health committee this year was ASPSA diabetes campaign which held in faculty of pharmacy 15-16/11/2009. With the attendance of more than 250 students and graduates which have a fully detailed lecture to help them to be a bases of awareness in there societies and also the was awareness team which make awareness the faculty hall and in lectures rooms.
Not only scientific events also ASPSA makes a lot of social and cultural events as a type of entertainment to its’ members like ( Itar Ramadan , culture day , pharco visit , Siwa trip, orphanage visits and Cairo trip ) and a lot of events during the year .
